Our Philosophy

Icarus  is a character from Greek mythology. His father, Daedelus was a master craftsman. Daedelus constructed some wings for Icarus out of feathers and wax, so that he could escape from Crete. He ignored instructions not to fly too close to the sun, and the melting wax caused him to fall to his death.

Icarus’ story reminds us that, when we are overambitious in our efforts, disaster can result. And perhaps Daedelus (as a father-employer) should have paid heed to Sir Thomas Legge, the father of Occupational Medicine, who stated that “Unless and until the employer has done everything- and everything means a great deal- the workman can do next to nothing to protect himself.”

We want to help companies optimise their profits. And we believe that a vital part of achieving this is to nurture the health and wellbeing of employees.
